C-Nut:

Could you do better with a broken teleprompter if you were in the public eye?

I know I could not.

DA,

Are you kiddin'? This guy can't even show his face, much less talk in public! Hahahaa. Zing! Yup, I still got it.

If I was going into politics I'd wean myself from teleprompting and rehearsed speech right away. Could I do better than this clown, surely.

But wct is right. I'd be wearing a mask and only exposing my midriff - just like my profile!

My, what an eloquent speaker!

This man has my (non-)vote!

I wonder if, when he becomes King of the World, people will still spend their days elocuting about his eloquent elocution?

Can't believe he will lead this country come Jan 20th. Lord help us.

Congress will be in charge, still - regardless which loser wins.

Well said, C. And your abs do look great.

Perhaps we should review the DVRs of the Lincoln-Douglas debates to see how those fellows endured the days of no teleprompters.

I believe almost no one can effectively extemporaneously speak.

Anyhoo, thanks for providing balance to my reading of Barry Ritholz's blog.

DA,

No matter how glib or effectively one orates....in this soundbite age, his enemies will parse it to make him look foolish.

Heed the subtitle of my blog:

Propaganda is to a democracy what violence is to a dictatorship.

Barry Ritholz is a smart guy - as far as the markets are concerned. He loses me when he tries to wax philosophical or political. He's not exactly a student of history or human nature.
