Pork - The Other Stinky White Meat

Pork chops have little flavor, even more so if your spouse or butcher cuts off the fat!

But we have to eat them occasionally because they are cheap and because, well, there aren't that many different kinds of meat out there.

They need flavor, so give this easy one a whirl:

Make some stuffing. Here I made 2 cups of the Pepperidge Farm brand.

Throw the chops on a pan. Season them if you wish. I use a little of Paul Prudhomme's Poultry Magic but anything like plain old salt and pepper will do.

Slap the stuffing on the meat.

Throw some onions in there. I used two small ones on this batch - chopped into 12 pieces each to be precise.

Add some water or chicken broth to the bottom....Bake at 350 between 1 hr and 1.25 hours, depending on your oven and the thickness of the chops.

Normally, I'd add a box of sliced portabello mushrooms as well but didn't have room today.

All four members of my family ate a single dish tonight. Can't remember the last time that happened!
